1.7.20 was taken outside my daughter's
elle’s first ballet class.
I remember watching her secretly,
behind the heavy door,
super excited for her.
I don't know if I took her photo
before or after the class,
and I love that it's impossible
to tell if she's putting
the shoe on or taking it off.
For me, this work is about
great expectations.
Needless to say,
she never got back for
a second class.
