in a palace in Paris.
I had just arrived at the opening
of a group show I was in.
This was a very hard time in my life.
My baby Shaya was just a few months old
and my boy Neil was 2 years old.
I had just finished breastfeeding her,
and had to show up to my opening
with cabbage leaves on my breasts
that were so painful,
both physically and emotionally.
More so, I had just come to the realization
that my marriage needed to end.
I entered the bathroom,
which was absolutely stunning,
fixed my lipstick just before i went outside
to the fancy palace opening,
and took this shot.
