This was a painting I made
of a golden dragon.
I placed myself riding him happily,
as a 2-year-old on my birthday.
I originally was photographed
on my beloved grandfather,
who has always been
my favorite person
in the whole world.
The way I felt so confident and secure
while he was holding me
in his arms on my 2nd birthday,
worked perfectly for me,
riding the dragon that seems scary
but was actually on my side,
taking me places
and keeping me safe.
