Got to have it!
28.8.06 was originally made from
a window I found on the street,
an old record, still, and fabric.
I made it when I was in
an unhappy marriage,
when my oldest boy was
only 3 months old.
His father and I had broken up
(for the first time).
I didn't want that split,
and I felt like this woman.
Busted.
Waiting for attention.
Unloved.
Weak.
Looking for a quick fix to ease her pain.
Waiting for him to come home,
While her man is seemingly
strong and confident,
And does very well without her.
To this day,
I find this work very sad.
But I love her anyway.
